Bengaluru Division is headed by JAG Officer and Co-ordinate  with the Branch officers of the Division for their materials requirements of stock as well as Non-stock upto the powers of deligated to the Divisional  stores officer are met through Local Purchase  at Divisional  level.  The Uniform Cell are functioning under Sr. DMM.  The Divisional Stores set up also Co-ordinates with Branch officers for Scrap mobilization and ‘E’ auction to be entrusted to Sr. DMM.

DivisionalStoresDepot atBangaloreissituated near BinnyMillarea, 1.5 Kms distance from BangalorecityRailwayStation.Itwasstartedin March 1999 as a sub depot to cater to the needs of Bangalore Division, anddepot was developed tofunction as full fledged depot from October 2007 with the post of AMM working under administrative controlofSr DMM/SBC.At present,Main operation of this depotis to cater thelarge needs ofall the consignees of Bangalore Dvn. Depot local purchasehasbeendigitalizedtoIREPSsince October 2014 and transaction works has been digitalizedto IMMS since Jan 2017.

          

ThedepothasstartedstockingmechanicalandElectricalitemsforLHBcoachessince2012.Already near about 200 headings have been opened andabout 289 headings areunder the process of opening.

SwatchBharatAbhiyan: Depothasvoluntarily taken up the activity of cleaning the depot premises once in a week on everySaturdays.Recently, someshow plants/flower plants have beenplanted in the open space in front of office forgood ambience. During summer, staff are voluntarily keeping drinkingwater in earthen bowls for birds. Training on operation of fire extinguishers and steps to put off the fire was given to staff throughdemonstrationon 16-12-2016.

 

Works programme: As thedepothasstartedstockingmechanicalandElectricalitemsforLHBcoaches,additional godown and staff strength is required for proper storageand operation oftheitems detailed below:-

Proposalfor construction of 1 godown for 74 lakhshas been sanctioned by GM/SWR with funds allotted by CAO/CN/BNC. Tender has been awarded andEarthworkhasstarted.Further,depot require two more additional godownto accommodate new headings.
