SENIOR DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER & CHIEF VIGILANCE OFFICER,
SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY, HUBBALLI.
Shri A. Annadurai, IRSS, has taken over the charge of Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer, South Western Railway w.e.f 03.10.2024.
He is an officer of Indian Railways Stores Service (IRSS) of 1990 batch. He holds a BE (Mechanical Engg ) degree from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, and PG Diploma in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM) from IIM, Bangalore. He attended Management Training at Syracuse University, New York, as part of the PGPPM. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at the INSEAD Management Institute in Singapore and Malaysia.
He has already put in for 33 years in Group A in various capacities in the Indian Railways – in Southern Railway, Integral Coach Factory, South Central Railway and East Coast Railway.
Prior to his posting as SDGM&CVO/SWR, he was working as Chief Materials Manager of Southern Railway and initiated in setting up new procurement system for all Engineering Track procurement and Track Machine items of the entire Southern Railway.
During earlier stint of 3 years as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Salem Division of Southern Railways, Salem Division has bagged the Overall Efficiency Shield for 3 consecutive years for all round performance passenger and freight operations, material management among all the Divisions of Southern Railways . During the very same assignment of ADRM/SALEM, he has also taken keen interest to contain and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by organizing many Special vaccination camps for Railway families duly coordinating with DCs and DMOs of 13 districts coming under his division.
